Whirlpool double oven

I have a Whirlpool double oven, model rbd275pdt14. A couple weeks ago, our breaker was turned off for our seasonal service of our heat pump/ac. When the breaker was turned back on, the double oven did not work except for the interior light. PF flashed momentarily, three beeps sounded, then nothing. We had a local mom and pop shop come in, they replaced the control board, I think it’s called. It is the panel behind the front piece, that attaches to the piece with the ribbon thing. (I’m sure that’s not the technical term! That did not fix it. There is an error code of E1, F2. I looked online and think that meant a loose connection. We unplugged and replugged it, turned off the breaker and turned it back on, still nothing. PF flashed briefly, then the error codes returned. I had tried holding the cancel button for 5 seconds, but no response. Can you tell me what to try next and what the cost for the part(s)
would be? Thank you.

Hi.

You need to remove the control panel and make sure that flex ribbon connector is in all the way. Pull it out and reconnect.
If that not going to solve the problem - replace the control panel.
Now the most interesting thing is:
Per manufacturer if replacing of the control panel not taking care of the problem - replace the control board.

If you get the parts from APP you may return any unused one even if they been installed.

Hi, Simon. Thanks for the quick response. We did take the front panel-that’s the control panel, right? off and unplugged and replugged the flex ribbon connector and that did not fix it. It was a little difficult to seat in, how can you tell if you’ve got it all the way inserted?
So if I understand correctly, the control panel should have been replaced first, then if that didn’t fix it, THEN the control board should have been replaced next?
I wish I had found this forum before!

Is the control panel difficult to install? Is this something that we can do? Can you give me a quick rundown on how to do it?
I appreciate your help, thanks.

Hi.

If you already removed the control panel then all you need to do is take off the control board and reinstall it on the new control panel.

Simon.

Simon, I appreciate your help very much. I will be ordering the part, and I will try to remember to update with the outcome.
Thanks again and have a great 4th of July.

Thank you very much.

Simon.

I ordered the control panel on Thursday lunch time, it was on my front porch Friday when I got home from work. My fiance installed it, and it resolved the problem.
Thanks for your excellent customer service and surprisingly quick delivery!

You are very welcome.
