Whirlpool dishwasher won't start

Our dishwasher won’t start. Has power. When we try to start it the start light flashes and then goes off. Any ideas what might me going on?

Hi.

Most likely there is no communication between control panel and control board.
Take the panel off, take out the connecting ribbon and clean it using a pencil eraser.
Reattach and see if it’s works. If not - replace the control panel.
