My dishwasher will not do anything but run the cancel cycle. It pops up 2 minutes on the screen and no other buttons work. I can cancel that or hit the cancel button again and re-start the cancel cycle for 2 minutes. Nothing else works at all. I though maybe it was in lock-out mode but if I hold the cancel button down it cycles on-off-on-off. It won’t stay down.
Any help would be appreciated. It is not the control panel that is broken. I am thinking the control board is shorted out.
Moist likely the problem is a bad control panel but there is a small chance for the control board to be bad as well. I would replace the control panel first, hoping it would solve the problem. If you need the correct part number for the control panel then post the color of it.

I am having the same problem with the same model. What was the root cause of the problem and how did you repair it?
I replaced the control board and that worked. I appreciate all the help.
What was the replacement part number? Was it the electronic control assembly?
That is it. Easy to replace, too.
Thanks for the help. I replaced the electronic control assembly today and it did not fix the problem. The only button that works is cancel which cycles for 2 minutes. Any other ideas?

There are two parts in question and what was good for [B]tb69396s dishwasher does not mean a solution for everybody. Unfortunately there is no way to tell exactly which part is wrong in each case.
I find it amazing that the exact same problem has two different parts to fix it. Why can’t appliance manufacturers quit making junk? A very few pennys spent on making circuits that are not cheap and these things would last a long time. unfortunately it is in their best interest to have us buy a new one when the warranty runs out.

Gene - I installed the control panel today and everything works now except the delay start button. This is used to delay the start of the cycle for 4 hours, etc. Any thoughts on how to correct this minor issue?
Sorry for the delay. Open the control panel and verify the control panel ribbon cable connection to the control board. If there is nothing wrong then the control panel or the control board might be defective.
