Whirlpool dishwasher not heating

Main Symptom:heater doesn’t work
What happens & when:my dishwasher wasn’t heating, so I got a replacement element. When I removed the dishwasher, I found that a mouse had chewed a wire to the element. I fixed the wire and replaced the element, but still no heat. Could the chewing have shorted the high temp thermostat? Or is it more likely a control module issue? Thanks

Check the element thermostat with a meter; it should have continuity if it is good. If the element is good, the thermostat is good; replace the control board.
