Whirlpool Direct Drive Washer Won't Spin but makes loud noise like a spinning tire or Jet on takeoff

Main Symptom: Won’t Spin Loud Noise
**What happens & when: Machine goes through wash cycle and pumps out fine. IDK if its agitating as the top is locked. It definitely won’t spin and makes loud noise when it should be spinning that sounds like a whirring sound like a tire spinning fast or a jet engine spooling up for takeoff, but it is not spinning. I have a video with the noise on my phone if I can add it later from the phone I will. I was thinking this will either be a Basket Drive or Transmission but do not know how to diagnose them. We may put one of these on it but would be reluctant to spend the price of both on this machine. At the price of these items, I would like to know for sure before buying them. Any Advice/ Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Parts or tests already tried: We put a Clutch and coupling on it.

Drive block or tranny would be prime suspects.

If you remove the agitator and the spin basket, the drive assembly can be checked for damage. The drive block should not have any cracks, and the drive tube shaft should have two square ears. If either are damaged, they can cause this issue. If they are not damaged, the transmission failed.
