I have a Frigidaire washer/dryer combination & the water won’t drain. Can I somehow remove the drain hose from the washer? ( Maybe it is clogged there.. ) If not, please tell me how to disassemble the washer so I can get to the pump. I don’t know where to start.. ![]()
Remove the flat panel under the control panel and look for clips or screws holding the lid in place, once released, the lid should slide forward. Then, remove the screws holding the front panel in place and remove, pump on the bottom, left. Part # AP4359998
Thank You Mr. richappy! I took it apart & the hose was packed full, which caused it to clog up. ( I washed rugs & 1 came all apart ) Now my washer drains perfect & I feel like the Maytag Man (: thanks to ur help! :o Although I do have a different problem now… When my washer goes on spin cycle, it makes a LOUD screeching noise. Can u give me any suggestions for what the problem might be?
Unfortunately, this sounds like carpet pieces stuck in the tub. I would remove the tub top and check. Either that, or you didn’t clean out the pump.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this information!! I just did exactly as you said and was able to repair my 10 year old washer combo. Mine had a couple of my wife’s hair pins in the impeller. But because you folks were kind enough to put this information up here I was able to fix it for free. Thank you again.
Thanks for the update and your persistence,
