I am switching over to electric need to know what size breaker this range takes

Sorry a double post

Here is the manual which includes installation instructions.

Looks like it uses a 40 amp breaker.

Take special note on the 3 wire or 4 wire hook up info.
Depending on your local electrical code a 4 wire hook up may be required.

Actually the 40amp would work, but a 50amp is customary. Especially if you ever decide to put a double oven in its place, or a convection oven, or a oven and microwave combination. The newer homes are always a 50amp. Oh, my home is 9 years old, and it has a 50amp. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Best to check your local electrical code.

I know in my area you cannot run a 40 amp stove on a 50 amp breaker.

Codes can be weird at times for instance, it is against code here to run a 15 amp breaker with a 15 amp receptacle and use 12 gauge wire you must use 14 gauge. Even though both ends are 15 amp protected and the 12 gauge can handle 20 amps. Does not make sense to me but that is the code.
