Dryer runs but will not heat I think it needs a thermostat. Do I also need a thermal fuse and a High-limit dryer thermostat? Thanks for the help
Get a meter to check things.
Thanks for the info but the dryer is in an other city and I can’t test I would like to make only one trip to fix it and that is why my question is My dryer will not heat and needs a thermostat Part no AP2973862 Also on the Part drawing a thermal fuse is indicated Item 23 Part NO. AP3132867 and also on the drawing A dryer cycling thermostat item 24 part noAP3131939. I am trying to anticipate my needs so would it behave me to have all of the above parts on hand or is part 24 even need for a non heat dryer? Any help would be appreciated.
This is a rather old dryer, most probable failure is the thermal fuse. Comes as a kit with high limit thermostat and thermal fuse AP3094224, both go on the heater housing. If a bad heater, use a 4391960, universal replacement. Call this parts site to verify correct heater.
