The other day the resistor on my frigidaire dryer’s fabric selector switch burned in half. Me and my brother had crossed the wires while hooking it back up. The wiring diagram shows that it is 3 k ohm resistor, but not what type or what kind of watt (1/4,1/8,1/2,…) i need.

Looking at the diagram, I assume you want to replace the resistor on the fabric selector switch. So if we use 240 volts across 31 K ohms (3 + 28) it works out to 1.9 watts so I would use at a 2 watt or better resistor.
