What is the defrost heater resistance value

I have an Amana refrigerator model SX22NL
I believe I have a bad defrost heater, since the frost continues to build up on evap coils and the evap fan never turns on.
Compressor and condensor fan run fine
I pulled evap fan and bench tested ok
I tested the defrost thermostat and it works also but when closes, evap fan won’t run.
I tested for 120V at the fan terminals with fan connected and get no voltage but when I remove the fan wires, I now get 120V
I suspect the defrost heater since the resistance across it ( heater wires disconnected) is over 30 meg ohms.
I also see in the schematics that the neutral connection to the evap fan appears to go through this defrost heater coil. That would explain why the fan wont run.
Can you verify the proper resistance value for this heater?

Sounds like you may have 2 problems.
My guess would be the defrost heater and board.

Yes it is toast, should be around 20 ohms.

I have never seen an evaporator fan get it’s power through a heater.
If it did the heater would drop the voltage going to the fan. Also the heater would be on when the evap fan is on and you do not want this.
