Westinghouse dehumidifier

My fairly new dehumidifier has failed in its second year. Worked fine last year. The evaporator ices up and will not remove further moisture. The fan setting is on high, moisture level high. The ambient humidity is in the 35-40% range. Obviously the freon is low with an extreme pressure drop across the expansion valve causing a too cold evaporator. The cooling fins are clean. Question is: Is it cost effective to repair this appliance?

If you have determined it is low freon, then calling a certified freon tech out for a estimate will be the way to determine if it is worth it to you to fix.
