Water supplied to icemaker but not water coming from tap. Where is the hang-up? Thanks

If you don’t hear a click and light doesn’t come on when you press the water lever then most likely there is a problem with the switch or the switch bracket [part]2180226[/part]
If the light comes on then most likely it’s frozen or broken water line or broken water inlet valve.
Pull off the toe grill, locate the water line connection and disconnect one side.
With the doors closed press the water lever. If the water comes out the tube - that means that the water line inside the freezer door is frozen.
Defrost the freezer for 24 hrs.
If not - trace the line back to the chiller inside the refrigerator and then to the water valve.
