French door fridge. No water coming out of dispenser so I put in a new filter and still nothing. I unplugged for about 3 hours and it started working again so I assumed the line froze up. 3 days later the same thing, no water. The both the freezer and fridge side set at 6.
There should be a connector where the water line goes up into the door, take it loose there and see if you get water. This will help determine if the line is frozen in the door or else where. If it is frozen in the door then you wil likely need a new door. https://www.appliancepartspros.com/
I unplugged for a few hours and apparently it thawed out. However, it keeps freezing back up up just about everyday now. I looked at several how to videos on Google to unplug the line and it just keeps freezing again. I turned the freezer down to 6 which is the recommended factory setting and no help. Some have mentioned a bad water inlet valve that leaks and allows water to enter the line causing freezing.
