I had to replace the water valve at the right hand bottom of the back of frig, the new valve has push in connections for 2 of the lines. I wanted to make sure I get these back on right as I won’t be able to take them back off once they are shoved on . 1 goes straight up th back of frig and 2 of them cross the back of frig to the other corner.
They should be different in size. One is 1/4" and another one is 5/16’. You can not put them wrong. Also after you connect them, push the center ring and you can pull the tube out.

I did notice the 2 different sizes, it is the 2 that are the same size I was curious about. I hooked everything up and have water at the dispenser in the door but still no water to icemaker. Have noticed the icemaker does not work all the time, the switch in the door is messed up or the solenoid that triggers the auger is messed up.
To remove them, just push in on the collar next to the valve, as you pull outward on the line.
Dan,
So what is the problem: the ice maker does not make ice or the ice dispenser on the door does not dispense ice?
What kind of ice maker is in your refrigerator: electronic with the green light or electromechanical with the arm on the right side?
Gene.
I just replaced my water valve and when the ice maker calls for water, it comes MOSTLY out of the door dispenser. Put old valve back in and the same thing is happening. Can the electrical connectors be put on backwards? Water is just sputtering out of the Ice maker supply line and it is clear!
Make sure you did not swap the wires when you replaced the water valve.

They are all color coded…nearly impossible to mix up. I even unplugged the “green” wire that supplies the ice maker and it still spits out the door dispenser. I even out the old valve back in (it was not the issue, I found out) It did not do this before I switched it out.
What happen if you call for the dispenser water?
Gene.
The dispenser works great…it onbly has issue when the ice maker is activated…then the water spits out the ice maker and flows of of the dispenser
Seems like some wires are crossed somewhere. It is very hard to diagnose. Probably you have to call a pro.
Gene.
Figured it out…swiched the “Inlet” and “Dispenser” lines…looked right but backward. Thanks for the support!
You are welcome. I’m glad you were able to fix it. Good job!
