I have read the user manual and spoken with GE Answer Center and cannot find the the answers to the following:
What is the normal water level for the WPXH214 in COTTON cycle as a level viewed through window on front door? I am aware of the adaptive measurement loop and at present, the water level is just barely up to the lower rim of the gasket.
For this same machine, where can one locate a detailed chart of fill, wash and spin cycles for each selected wash mode (e.g. cotton & etc.) as a step-by-step illustration?
Machine is functional but wife complains the clothes are not fully rinsed?
Also, as an aside, what were the equivalent Frigidaire and Kenmore Models?
This washer is rated as Energy Star, what means it must be kind of water saver. So the water level you mentioned sounds pretty normal.
What kind of detergent and how much of it your wife used can be a real cause of poor rinse. She has to use only HE (high efficient) detergents, preferably powder (liquid detergent would leak from the dispenser very fast) and a smallest possible amount. Large amount of detergent does not clean better.
All front loaders are about the same very poor quality compare to a classic top loaders. Most of technicians will tell you the same thing.
GE keeps such information available for their techs only and do not let them to share it.

Gene - Thanks for the reply
GE does go out of their way to make things difficult! Is the GE publication WX10X114 current/useful with respect to my class of machine?
As to the detergent: We use Tide Liquid HE 2X and have steadily decreased the amount to the Light Load - Line 1. Wife has not commented yet.
