water level switch failure and flooded floor

hi
my machine will not stop filling and floods( on both hot and cold fill )so I do not think its dirt in the fill solenoids. Full wide open fill volume not a dripping slow fill!
I’ m thinking my fill level switch is bad? Can I use a meter on this and check as I raise and lower the air pressure on the switch diaphram with a hose to see if in fact this switch is failed and my root cause of the flood?!!
thanks
mike

If you can shut it off by turning the timer or by unplugging the unit then the valves are OK

Do not need a meter.
If you have a length of hose which will fit on the fill switch, just start a cycle and blow into the hose. You should be able to shut the fill off without blowing too hard. If it stops, use your tongue to seal the end of the hose to keep the pressure in it. This will check that the level switch’s internal bellows is not leaking.

If the above is OK then you probably have a problem with the pressure hose.
Could be crud is blocking it at the tub end, has cracks/holes so will not build up pressure or is not sealing at the switch.

If at all brittle/stiff replace it.
