In most cases, when this occurs, the water valve is the issue if the icemaker is not damaged. Check the icemaker first then replace the valve if it is good.

We just replaced the ice maker (got the part from you) what is the part number for the valve please?

Let me start with, I am grateful to have found your site and all the people I had interaction with during my journey. The parts I ordered came faster than expected and were exactly what my make and model needed.

We were having trouble with our Frigidaire refrigerator ice maker. Ice was clumping in the bin. We tried to adjust the water flow, but that didn’t work. We broke down and called a service company but that did not fix the problem, it only seemed to get worse. We looked at a lot of YouTube videos and looked around on line for parts. We decided it might be the Ice maker and found your site. We put in the order by phone to make sure we ordered the correct part. The video was great and helped us make sure we did it right. Unfortunately, that didn’t fix the problem. We are thinking that was not the problem after all but we had to start somewhere.

Then I did a chat in the forum and explained the problem. Water leaking from the ice maker just enough to have the ice clump and freeze in the ice bin. This made it impossible to use the ice dispenser without burning out the auger motor. I got a response to my post within a half an hour (Amazing). It was suggested to replace water inlet valve. He even gave me the link to the part number and a “How to” video to place the order. It came in time for us to tackle the job on the weekend.

It has been more than 48 hours and everything is working perfectly. No water leaking to freeze in the ice bin and prevent the ice dispensing properly.
