Water inlet valve or pressure switch

Water will not shut off is there more problem with the inlet valve or pressure switch? Not sure which one to replace first.

I would not buy any parts until we troubleshoot and get closer to the fail point.

It could be a Stuck water valve… if you unplug the machine do you hear water entering into the machine?

If not then I vote for a Stuck pressure switch but we need to do some troubleshooting. Do you have the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual?

If not Google this 16022808.pdf

Then read thru this postService code ‘nd’? key into how to monitor Pressure Switch transistions in Service Mode. In Service Mode we can determine if the Pressure Switch is working as designed.

It is the fav6800aww model

I understand that does water continue flow into the wash tub when you press the Off key pad or unplug the washer from the machines 120VAC service outlet?

If so you have a stuck water valve and would have to shut off the water supply to the machine is that the case?
