Water filter tubing repair

I needed to replace my water valve assembly. The new assembly requires me to cut the screw nuts off some of the tubing and press it in the hole. I mistakenly cut of the screw nut to a tube which goes to the internal water filter and is a screw on connection. It is now too short to reach the valve. I don’t know if this is the water filter inlet or outlet tubing. It is the larger diameter tube. Many places do not sell the inlet and outlet tubingreplacements as the mfg no longer supplies the original or a replacement. It would seem a difficult job to replace it anyway since it runs inside the back panel. Can I buy a short length of tubing and the necessary adapters to splice the tube together and an end to connect to the valve?

Retmet,

Yes, most repair personell would repair the tubing, with a lengh of tubing and a John Guess fitting.

Based in your post, I believe you’d need a 5/16 inch tube and a 5/16 X 5/16 in. John Guess fitting,
