Water dispensor keeps running

Main Symptom:water dispensor keeps running after removing glass
What happens & when:when you activate the water dispensor the water comes out and when you pull the glass away it keeps running. you have to unplug the fridge or turn water off to get it to stop.

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: I have replaced the 4 valve solenoid part # 242253002. After replacing the part and testing the water still kept running. With new solenoid the only way to stop water is to turn off under sink. with the water off and plugging the fridge back in the brown plug for the solenoid become active and is running without pushing the dispensor for water. after unpugging brown connector for approximately 10 minuuites and then pluging back in it won’t activate unless you push dispensor for water. then you must repeat process to stop water. Also I plugged the brown connector into the original part and it would stop after unplugging fridge with no waite time.

When the water is pouring out after the dispenser paddle is no longer being pressed, if you press an ice selection, does the dispenser start trying to dispense ice?

Yes, when you push the dispenser paddle for water the water comes out, and if you select the ice the ice also comes out with the water still running. deactivate the dispensorpaddle the ice stops and the water keeps flowing.

Also on the four way valve the brown connector and yellow connector is still providing power to the valve after deactivication

With it being able to change to ice and dispense ice, a communication issue has been eliminated as a possibility. With the voltage reaching the valve continuously, the main control is the cause of failure. 5304510307 Board Assembly | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock

While this is not specific to the control board for your model, this link can be used to view a repair video for a similar control board. The primary difference is your control board will have a locking tab at the front instead of a locking screw.
