I have a Samsung refrigerator (see specs above). Last night, I was filling a glass of water and when I removed the glass from the dispenser the water kept flowing. I pushed the dispenser paddle a couple of times thinking maybe it got stuck. No luck, so I turned off the circuit breaker but that did not stop the flow of water from the dispenser either. I couldn’t get at the water shut off valve or the plug (I don’t have the strength to pull of the refrigerator). I also couldn’t shut off the main water to the house so I caught the water in a big bucket for about 4 minutes and it finally stopped. I don’t know if I hit the paddle again but for whatever reason it stopped. I would like to know how to trouble shoot this issue or if you know what parts I need to replace, I would appreciate it. In the meantime, the owners manual states; if the “Ice type” button is pressed the water dispensing mode will be turned of so that is the way I have it now. I don’t plan on touching the ice dispenser or the water dispenser so am I okay to leave the house without worrying about coming back to a flood, right? Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Frank

If the valve was dispensing water after power had been turned off to the unit, that usually means the water valve AP4511357 is failing. Does your home have low or high water pressure, say outside of 40-60psi? Too low or too high of pressure can cause the valve to not want to seat properly, but if that’s good I’d suspect the valve.
