The water dispenser is broken. The lever was working if I pushed it even farther than previous. Now it does not dispense water at all. The ice dispenser is also problematic. Can I simply purchase the whole assembly and just replace everything? This unit is old so I do not mind replacing the entire assembly.

Open the dispenser and check the pins holding the micro switches on the bracket. Most likely they are broken.
