Does it seem like it is canceling out of the cycle once it stops agitating?

Here’s the tech sheet for this model, that’ll tell you how to check for codes and do some testing.

Tech sheet GTW335ASN0WW (1).pdf (4.1 MB)

After the machine fills, it starts to agitate, for about 6-10 times, and the only display light on is Wash. Then, it stops and the display light goes off. Nothing else happens. In order to get the water out of the tub, I have unplugged the machine and turned the dial to Drain & Spin. It does drain but does very little spinning. I put two small towels in yesterday and had to wring the excess water out of both. Have replaced the lid lock mechanism. Is that supposed to lock once the wash starts or does it activate only when it is finished and needs to spin? I do not have a display on my washer to see any codes; only the display lights for fill, wash, etc.

That tech sheet goes over how to read the diagnostic mode with just the display lights. You may have a motor issue or the speed sensor may not be reading.

The tech sheet shows that there should be 6 display lights on my control panel; I only have 5; Fill, Soak, Wash, Rinse, Spin. However, if you include the far left button Deep Rinse, I have 6. On the sheet it shows what to do with or without a display on the control panel. Is my model with a display for it has the indicator lights?

Also, is the lid supposed to lock once the wash starts OR only when it goes into Spin mode?
