Washing machine not spinning properly

Main Symptom: Poor spinning, loud noise in spin cycle
What happens & when: Noticed unusually loud spin cycles, then, when washing heavier load, clothes still sopping wet. Will spin a light load but makes unusually loud noise. Seems to drain fine. Found washer drive block as likely issue on your website. How would I know for certain this is the issue. I checked the drive belt and it’s fine.

It is possible that the drive block may be damaged or the tub nut may be loose. What does the unusual noise sound like? To check the drive block, the spin basket would need to be removed by lifting the top panel, removing the tub ring and the tub nut, then lifting the spin basket out.
