Washing Machine Lid Switch

In trying to identify why my washer would not drain after wash cycle, I discovered the lid switch had been broken apart. I was able to put it back together and seal it with epoxy. I tested it with continuity check and it works OK. Question there is a tiny plastic tube on the switch, along with the wiring. When reinstalling the switch, I do not know where this tube is supposed to go.
Any help would be appreciated.

This tube goes under the wire harness clip (under the top panel) to hold the wires in place.

The lid switch you fixed would not last long and after it breaks again it’s better to replace it with the original part.

Thanks for the advice. This is not the tube that the wires go through to protect them, but a very small diameter, clear tube about 5-6 inches long. This is the one that goes in the clip, too?

I will check out the switch repair job very good before I put iy back in. If it appaears to have weak spots, I’ll go ahead and order a new one now and save a headache later. Thanks again. EEE

This clear tube is for the inner part of the switch ventilation only and Whirlpool does not make it anymore. Just forget about it.
