Which control board did you replace? Also, try pressing and holding the Start button for about 10 seconds, then release it once the LEDs begin to light up. When you do that, does an error code appear on the display? That can help pinpoint where the issue is coming from.

We replaced the main control board. Error Code 19 popped up after holding the start button - possibly drain pump/drain hose issue? we cleaned the drain filter and that seems fine.

If the water fills up properly, the issue would be with the user interface control since the main control on the right of the unit has been replaced. The error code 19 is specifically a UI state timeout failure which happens if there is a water level issue while the washer is off, or if the user interface has been paused for more than 24 hours. https://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-user-interface-board-wh22x34938-ap7205455.html

We just tried a new interface control as well and still the same issue.

Is the same error code appearing when you press and hold start?

Yes, 19 still pops up flashing.

Does the water fill up properly?

It seems like it fills up properly, it just shuts off after about 5mins and says the cycle is done. Doesn’t seems like it’s draining right.

If you try running it while it is empty, does the water drain out fully or does it stay mostly filled with that water?

It stays filled with the water

Will it drain the water if you set the washer to a spin-only mode? This should force activate the drain pump.

I haven’t seen a spin only mode - there is a rinse and drain mode

sorry, rinse and spin

If you select the rinse and spin cycle, then turn off the extra rinse selection, it should act as a drain and spin mode.

Sounds good, we will give that a try. If that doesn’t work, coud it be a drainpump issue?

Due to how the cycle is acting when you start a wash, it is unlikely. This is a verification step so that it can be fully ruled out as a possibility.

the water drained out when we ran the spin-only mode - what would the next step be?

the cycle shut off after about 5 min

we got error code 65 now
