Our washer filled with water based on load/control setting. However wash cycle will not start. We currently have a load of wet clothes sitting in the
tub. Please direct me to the possible cause of our problem.
Thanks.

Well you might have a bad lid switch or you might have a broken motor coupling, (or something worse, but hopefully not) The process for diagnosis starts the same.
First watch this video.

This will show you how to open up your machine. To test for the lid switch, after you flip up the console and disconnect the plastic coupling, get a short insulated solid copper wire and put each stripped end in the outer holes of the plastic coupling coming from the console. Plug in the washer, turn to a spin cycle and start the machine. If the machine spins, you need to replace the lid switch. If it does not spin, you need to go on and look at the coupling, as shown in the video. If it is bad, replace it.
Good luck, and please post and let us know how it turns out.
You were correct. Turns out my lid switch was defective. Switch has been replaced and our washer is back on line.
Thanks very much for your help.
Glad you got it fixed, and thanks for updating us.
