The washer tub still spins but is very loud and sounds like it is out of balance. When you open the door the tub looks like it has dropped down and is laying in the bottom of the Tub Assembly. I can turn the belt drive pulley and the tub will spin. The shock assemblies are intact and don’t appear to be damaged. Can somebody help.

It sounds like the rear bearing has failed, among other things and given the cost of the parts (the rear drum must be replaced) a replacement is your best bet.

This is a chronic problem with these models.
