Washer Stops During Rinse Cycle

I have a Whirlpool Estate 1/2 HP Extra Large Capacity 7 Cycle/2 Speed Model 8280869.

Everything starts off fine but about a third of the way thru the Rinse cycle it stops. No humming or anything. This happens on any setting (Reg, Perm Press or Gentle).

Thoughts?

Since it goes through the complete wash cycle, fill, agitate, drain and spin this suggests a timer issue. You will need the full model number to locate the part on this site, and if you buy the timer from this site and that is not the problem you can return it.
