Washer stop running, cannot get to error codes

Main Symptom:wash stopped running
**What happens & when:**Problems with GE front loading washer, model GFW550SSN2WW. Unit shut down, I tried unplugging unit from the wall to re-set. Now when I plug it back in to power it up I have an intermittent noise, and no way to trouble shoot error codes. Thoughts?
