I went to put a load of clothes in the washer tonight and it wouldn’t fill. I messed with the control knob and found that it would in fact spin and it does add water during the spin cycle. Messing with the temp control had no effect as did blowing on the pressure tube, which was clear. Valves, timer, and drive motor have all been replaced in the past.
How long ago did you replace those items and was it for this same reason?
When you say i does add water during spin cycle do you mean it will fill up for rinse or is it only spraying water during final spin?
Will it fill with water when you set it to rinse cycle?
Does anything change if you set the timer to one of the other cycles like delicates etc?
When you are messing with the temp control (switching from hot to warm to cold wash) have you tried doing so while the unit is turned on?
Several years and no it was for different problems.
Just spraying during final rinse

Welp when the spousal unit finally awakened from her slumber she informed me that it has been doing that and jiggling the control knob usually fixes it. Lo and behold upon opening the cover with the power still on the unit started working. When I put the cover down it stopped again. Apparently the plug to the timer control has just enough play in it to lose continuity on some circuits while still being securely clipped together. I’m not sure what the remedy is but at least I know the problem.
Try unplugging the connector from the timer and clean the contacts on the timer and connector. Use something similar to what I show in the attached picture.
