I have a Maytag MVW6200KW. It was great at first but now it seems to not get my clothes as clean. can I change agitator wash plate to a more traditional agitator?

Main Symptom: Clothes don’t seem to be getting clean enough anymore
What happens & when: Cycles are a lot longer? Soap residues are on clothes after wash (just started doing this).

The first place to start is try to clean the machine if there is soap residue after the cycle completes. Also check to make sure that the unit is going through the final rinse as well. This could be an issue with the unit not getting cold water and not going through the final rinse and spin. If there is no cold water coming in then check the screens on the water valve to make sure they are clean. If this is good then put the unit into service diagnostics and see if there are any error codes. This would guide you to what may be going on.

Will the unit spin during a spin cycle? If it will then put the unit into service diagnostics and see if there are any error codes.
washer will spin but it is a lot of delays between cycles
