Hey guys.
I have an issue with my washer and I wanted to make sure I was on the right track before ordering a part.
I bought the washer in used in working order. I recently replaced the drum pulley due to normal wear and tear. Everything worked great after that. Recently, it’s been leaving the clothes wet after each load. I was monitoring it yesterday and noticed that the drain pump is making a ticking sound. If I unplug the unit and let it set for about 30 minutes then plug it back in, I can run a rinse and spin to finish the load up. Drainage occurs as it normally would. But if I try to fire it back up after the full wash load finishes leaving the clothes wet, it continues to make the ticking noise. I can hear a little drainage in the drain tubing behind but not near the volume it should be going out at.
I was going to order:

I don’t want to order a $150 part before getting a second opinion though. I looked around on the internet and I’m not finding exact issues like mine.
I did try cleaning the lint / junk filter before going any further having had issues with it before.
My guess is that the pump is failing or overheating (i don’t know if it’s vacuum or mechanically ran). But I don’t know if it could also be a voltage issue coming from the control board that just gets reset after I leave the washer unplugged for awhile. Can anyone confirm that the next step would be to replace the pump? I have not taken it out to inspect it yet.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Anthony
