Washer Is Tripping My Gfi (help)

Washer keeps tripping my GFI circuit. It seems to have happend during the drain and spin cycle. Any way I tried to change the cycle quickly and now it tripps immediatly. My brother tells me it is the machine and not anything in the :confused: :confused: wiring in my house. Any ideas??:frowning: :frowning:

washing machine should not be, nor is required to be, plugged into a gfci receptacle or circuit.
