Main Symptom: wont spin at rinse cycle
What happens & when: during rinse or spin cycle the lid locked LED starts flashing and washer wont spin. sometimes it will drain but cloths are always wet

Error Code (if any): F7E1 and F2E0
Parts or tests already tried: passes automatic test. static lid lock test pass. New Main control board, new splutch kit and new drive belt installed. Drain hose confirmed clear.

Hi, the F7E1 code means the washer is not detecting the basket turning when it should. This is most likely why the washer is stalling and not completing the cycle.

A few things can cause this, including a bad shift actuator, weak motor capacitor, loose/broken drive belt, or a wiring issue.

To check the F7E1 fault, unplug the washer first and go through these steps:

  1. Spin the basket by hand. It should turn fairly smoothly without being extremely hard to move. If it is binding or making grinding noises, there may be a mechanical problem preventing the motor from turning it.
  2. Check the drive belt underneath the washer. Make sure the belt is still installed around the motor and drive pulleys and that it isn’t broken, stretched, or slipping off.
  3. Check the shift actuator. Inspect the actuator underneath the washer and make sure its electrical connector is fully seated. Look for damaged wires, corrosion, or loose connections. The actuator contains the sensor the control uses to detect basket speed, so a bad actuator can cause the F7E1 code.
  4. Check the motor capacitor. Look for any swelling, cracking, leaking, or burnt connections. A weak capacitor can allow the motor to hum or try to start without actually turning the basket. If you have a multimeter with a capacitance setting, the capacitor can also be tested against the µF rating printed on the capacitor.
  5. Check the motor and actuator wiring. Follow the wiring back toward the control and look for any loose plugs, broken wires, or damaged terminals.

The F2E0 code is related to the controls/user interface. For now, I would focus on the F7E1 first, since that is the main code related to the washer not spinning.

Basket spins freely by hand, Drive belt was new, Motor capacitor measured correctly, New shift actuator installed, machine calibrated and the washer is working perfectly.
