Washer balancing for ever before spin

Brand: Samsung

WF42H5000AW/A2 stuck/ balancing for ever at the 5min mark, just before it starts spinning.

Here is what I tested. I have run out of ideas. PLEASE HELP: I am going crazy here!!!

* Spin test is OK: Spins to every speed

* Pump test is OK: full hose diameter water flow

* Pump impeller is OK, snaps to magnet as it turn it, and pump motor reads the proper resistance

* Hall sensor is OK: reads proper resistance and voltage when rotating drum, replaced it, but there was no change.

* Motor is ok: reads proper resistance at the coil

* Pressure sensor reads 2620 when empty, which is OK for this model

* All hoses removed, cleaned and reconnected

* Calibration done, and did not display any errors

* No error error displayed after wash cycles

* All wires seem OK

*when in the 5 min cycle, when it starts slow speed spining, I hear a bit of water still splashing around in the drum. But no water is visible inside, so it is likely a small amount.

* Spin only cycle works well.

* If I press start/pause, when hung on the 5 min cycle, it will pause, then after pressing again, it will go directly to 9 min, then finsih the cycle OK, doing a proper spin and not getting hung on the 5min cycle

It sounds like the main control programming logic is hanging up in this portion of the cycle. Does the machine have any excess vibration during the spin cycle, do any of the controls have any visible indicators of damage, and are any sections of the wire harness pinched? This check is to eliminate the likelihood of a separate part causing interference.

@WilliamM_APP_Team The spin is normal. It vibrates a bit at low rep, then it goes away as the speed goes up.

No damage to any control

Harnesses all look good.

All this started after the door seal gasket got tangled with clothes, and ripped itself out of place (don’t know how!) The machine then leaked and ended up stopping somewhere mid cycle. No error was displayed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It definitely sounds like the main control is the failure for the spin issue. It might be possible that the leak caused a short in a wire circuit, which could cause any kind of issue with a control. If this was an inverter failure, it should act up even in the spin only cycle. From what I see, there are different controls used with this model depending on what the REV number or /## is near the model.
