I picked up this 36" Viking range, and installed it. But found little or no gas coming out of the cooktop. The first repairman came and installed a new regulator…no change. The ignitor is fine. A test of gas pressure to the stove is fine. A test of the gas pressure at the regulator is fine. So, that leaves some issue with the gas pressure from that point on.
But the first repairman gave up…as did the second repairman. They did not want to get further involved with “such a high-end appliance”.
This is a beautiful stove…I am really in need of some quality help.
Unfortunately Viking does not provide any technical information (diagrams, schematics, parts list etc) for their products for anybody but their own techs.
you picked up this range, from another person possibly? Sounds as if the unit has been converted to LP gas instead of NAT. If you’re trying to run NAT gas through an LP regulator and orifices, you’ll get next to no pressure and very low flame if any. If you are still trying to correct this issue please advise of what size your burner orifices are, or the p/n stamped on the regulator I could probably assist.
