We bought a dishwasher from a local store, and it was a scratch and dent type of deal with no manual. It has worked fine for about 3 months, although I must mention that we only used it about 2x a week, so it has had very little use.
I loaded it up the other day, and when I turned it on it was normal for about 15-30 seconds, where it makes very little noise at all and then at the point where it first starts to normally make noise, it started making an unusually loud noise, so that it was difficult to hear a person talking next to you.
I turned it off, and restarted it with the same results. I decided to drain/cancel the wash, and noticed that the noise also continued with the drain cycle. I know very little about dishwashers, but it seems like it would have something to do with a pump, because it still continued when draining the water.
Upon taking the dishwasher apart, we found a piece of a reusable wooden chopstick that the kids had been warned not to put in the dishwasher… in under the screen and removed it. Anything else I can do to check or fix while the dishwasher is in pieces on my floor? Please help! Thanks
