Trying to repair a GE Stovetop

I’m trying to replace the igniter switches on my GE Stovetop but have no drawings to go by. I can’t even figure out how to open the unit to get to the switches. Don’t want to randomly start removing screws. Any suggestings/help?

In order to access the ignition switches you have to remove all burners and the top panel.

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE stove Model JGP932BEC1BB

Gene.

Thanks for the info. One other question. I see that the burners have 2 screws each but are also held down by the igniters. How do you remove the igniters(#154 in the drawing)?

:frowning: Part #AP3185909 (WB18T10176) isn’t the correct part. Attached is one of the switches from the existing harness. I guess I’ll be contacting GE directly to see if there is a recall. I have had continous problems with this unit almost from the beginning. Why they would have a non-waterproof switch virtually exposed to the cooking surface is beyond me!
