I have a Trane XE90 furnace and the led diagnostic light is blinking fast indicating a “normal call for heat”. This is what the legend on the inside of the panel says. The furnace ignites and seems to be working ok, but I am wondering if anyone may be able to tell me what I should be checking for if there is something wrong.
Yes the blower starts, the filter is brand new and has been replaced regularly, and the flame from the burners is blue. I’m not sure the reason for the led light blinking.
Inside the blower door - you have to take the door off to read what the number of blinks mean. If all ia working well, it could be the blinking means “normal operation”
Thank you for your response to start. I have to believe that the led light blinking has to mean that something is wrong. I have pulled off the cover to the blower area of the furnace and the sticker on the inside says that a fast blinking light with no interruption means “normal call for heat”. Unfortunately, looking online for a way to diagnose or repair this has resulted in blind links back to the Trane website. I understand they want to give business to their suppliers but I had hoped that if it was a simple fix or maybe a malfunctioning diagnostic light I could save a few bucks. I appreciate your response again. Take care.
