Tracing Whirlpool Duet Drier E26 Code: Drier does not start

Main Symptom: Does not start
What happens & when: Does not start. Shows E26. I have conducted a few diagnostic tests, but have not come to conclusion.

Error Code (if any):26
Parts or tests already tried: E26:Motor Drive System Fail. Tested resistance on circuit control board from P8-4 and P9-1. Found open. Tested continuity of Thermal Fuse, and it is conductive. Checked door switch. Seems promising! In diagnostic mode, door switch makes no beep (which it should do, according to tech sheet), but continuity check shows that switch is functioning.

it is a Duet drier. The SN is MT 2750140. The number I gave above is on the label as “Type.” Should I be looking for another number?

It should say model and then a serial number. It is a sticker located just inside the door frame

That’s it. You obviously have the tech sheet. You should go to the motor test #4 and check the windings on the motor.
