Timer Assembly installation

How difficult/confusing is it to replace the timer assembly? What tools are required?

Repair cost thru a service technician is approx $200, but the part (AP3116038) on your site is $56 (less than half of the quoted part price from the technician).

I haven’t done much self repairs, but may be willing to try in lieu of buying a new dryer.

Just unplug dryer… remove screws behind console… pull off knob… look at old timer and just change it wire for wire.. timer also has letters for wire colors.. Very simple
