Thermister continuity

Can anyone help checking continuity on a dishwasher thermister? Should I hear the audibly tone when using a meter across the connection prongs? Will I just get an ohm reading?

I doubt you will get a beep but it depends on the meter.
Usually a beep is an indication of 0 or close to 0 ohms.

I cannot find any info on this unit so am guessing.

The thermistors are usually around 50,000 ohms at room temperature.
Note: The resistance drops as the temperature increases.

Unplug the thermistor when measuring it as this prevents you from reading an alternate/parallel circuit path.
Set your meter to the 200K scale.
Short the meter leads together before measuring. This tells you that the meter is actually working and will also show you if there is a 0 offset.
