Thermador T36BB810SS ice buildup

Brand: Thermador
Model Number: T36BB810SS
Main Symptom: Ice build up
What happens & when: Every month need to be thawed

Hi fellows,

I am battling this problem for quite a while with my fridge:

Parts diagram - https://www.thermador.com/us/getImagePDF/9447776649246?vibki=T36BB810SS%2F01

First couple of times I turned it off, defrost and after couple of days was good for another month or so. After I realized it’s not just one time glitch I replaced the heating element 00687342 - defrost heater assembly. Measured the resistance of the old and the new one and realized this was not the issue, but still used the new heater. At the next ice buildup the fan was completely blocked and I was under impression it burned so I replaced that as well 00676784 - blower motor. Started replacing one by one every sensor and waited to see if it build ice again. So up until now I replaced the humidity sensor 00617203 and 10024678. All parts can be googled. I don’t want to advertise particular online shopping webstores.

The only one left to be replaced is Sensor NTC, but I think the issue is somewhere else and I will appreciate if someone can give me some clue what else to try.

Thank you in advance

Mike

Based on what you’ve already done and checked, it sounds like the issue is in the main power control board. There should be a /## number after the model number that would be necessary to identify the correct control used with this unit.
