Main Symptom: Oven shuts off
What happens & when: Oven turns off 30 to 60 seconds after it turns on. The element heats up before it shuts off.
Error Code (if any): Light flashes on oven control

Hello, the oven is not sensing something and shutting down. Make sure the fans come on. I know some of the thermidor ovens had what is called a sail switch. It checks air flow from the fans. If the fans are not turning fast enough, they can throw an error code. See if there is a tech sheet inside the console so you can pull error codes.

I took the rear covers off and checked the fans. Both are working, and the bearings are in good condition. I don’t see any airflow switches or wires that would lead to a sensor in front of the fans.
I did check the resistance on the oven’s temp sensor, and it’s in the M ohms even when I apply heat to it with a lighter. Could the temperature sensor be causing this problem?
MIght have a secondary problem with the convection portion. Only getting 58VAC to the element when in convection mode.

Just noticed a sensor that is above the heating element. It looks like a honeycomb. Not sure if it is a limit switch, but it is very close to the heating element.
Usually, a temp sensor will be around 1080 ohms at room temperature, and could cause the problem you are having. If I am not mistaken, the convection fan comes on to help pre-heat for the bake cycle. If you are not getting 58 volts across the element connections when it is first tuned on, that would be a problem with the control. Ohm out the element with the power off and one wire removed from the element terminal, and let me know what you find out.
Murphy’s law. The leads to my Fluke are flaky. With new leads Elements show 20 ohms. Temeature sensor shows 1125 ohms
That sounds normal for the sensor and element.
Do you think its a control board issue? I have 40 years working on electronics but zero years as a oven tech. It acts like a safety cutout in the way it cycles and shuts off. What is your opnion?
To be honest, without any kind of error code, it is an educated guess. It just acts like it is waiting for something to come on, but it does not happen, so it shuts off. The main control would be a guess on my part. Is there a tech sheet anywhere in the console to run diagnostics?
Nothing in the manual or on the back covers. I’ll do a google search to see what I can find. Only thing I get after it shuts off is a blinking blue oven light. My favorite explanition to managment “broke don’t work”
