I have a Thermador electric oven model ME301EX/09. I am having issues with the temperature rising to broil+ temps when the oven is set to 250-350. I have replaced the top heating element 00144667 and the temp sensor 00642855. I am still having the issue and am thinking it could be the control module 00655359. The last time I had the problem the digital readout showed 325 but an analog thermometer I had in the oven showed 500+. Do you think the control module could be the issue? If so, I haven’t been able to find a video showing where the control module is located and how to replace it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Rafael
If there is not a grounded out element, the relay control module is a possibility. With the power supply turned off, it can be accessed by pulling the wall oven out just enough to remove the top access panel located just behind the console on the left. This should give just enough room to get to the control.
I’m not sure what you mean by a grounded out element.
An element can fail where the internal coil has continuity to the mounting bracket on the element. When this happens, the element grounds out, which causes the element to overheat. Testing the element for continuity from the element terminals to the element bracket at the end of the element can identify if it is grounded out or not.
