My Thermador is over 20 years old and has a spliced-style temperature sensor as opposed to the newer models that have inline connectors. The ohm resistance is 1 (open). I can’t find a OEM for my model, and the ‘temp sensor kit’ purchased from Appliance Parts Pros that is mentioned in a 17year old thread doesn’t seem available. Thermador temp sensors all seem to be 1080 - 1100 Ohm. Can I purchase a thermador sensor with a connector and then splice to the old wires?

While it may be theoretically possible to do so, unfortunately, we would not be able to guarantee that using an alternative from the discontinued sensor kit 00414152 would work properly.
