The Oven didn't turn on, no light, no click

I got my bread dough in the pan and ready to bake, then turned on the oven, but nothing happened! No preheating light, no click of the ignitor, nothing! Fortunately, we have very nice neighbors and I have my bread in their oven right now, but what about the next meal?

The oven is a 1988. We replaced the ignitor a few years back when it would get warm, but not up to temperature.

Thank you for your help! You guys are great! I tell all my friends about you!

I have 5 grandchildren now. I will fix that later. I have some place to go right now.

Circo,

Does the broil burner work ?

My best guess at this point is, you’ll need another bake burner igniter,

AP2934763

You can remove the oven bottom panel and observe the igniter operation,
when you turn the oven on it will start to glow red and should reach a white hot glow in 60 to 90 seconds and the burner should ignite the gas, and have a flame. If it glows orange or slightly red, it’s weak and wont open the gas valve to release the gas.

The broiler is not clicking or lighting either. I’m sorry, I forgot to say that.

Before, when it was the ignitor, it gave me a red light indicating it was heating. It just didn’t get up to temperature. It looks like the oven isn’t even trying to heat up.

Is the igniter inline with the indicator light, so the light only goes with the igniter? Could it be some sort of fuse? or an incomplete circuit? The click that I’m used to hearing, what makes the click sound?

Just thinking… I will check to see if the igniter heats up, but I don’t think so.

Thank you for your ideas!
