Temp difference in frigde, top warm, bottom cool

Hi,

I’m not sure on the age of the fridge.

Our problem is that the top of the fridge and freezer both are warmer than the bottom. Top shelf temp in the fridge is 60 degrees as is the whole door shelves, and the very bottom shelf (above the produce and meat drawers) is 40-50 degrees (does not go lower than 40). The condenser coils are clean and it is running.

Just cuirous what would be causing this problem and is it fixable or just more cost efficient to be replaced.

We keep insulin in there so need it to be a uniform temp.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Check and see if you have a defrost issue. If there is frost on the back wall, then you can have a defrost issue. Also check and see if the fan in the freezer is running. If it is not running, or if you have a defrost problem, the air circulation will be bad causing different temperatures. Let us know what you find and we will help you with the parts. There is a parts diagram link below. Hope this helps.
