I have a really old wall oven like 1950’s or so the house was built in 1954. The baking element went out and I cannot find anywhere that has them. The model number I put in doesn’t work…Im guessing cause how old it is. Does anyone have any websites for Tappan or where I can find this element?
Yes and I do not have older parts lists to look it up either.
I’m fairly confident a replacement should still be available but I will need all the numbers on the original element to try and trace it. Those numbers may be stamped into the mounting plate(s) that are screwed to the oven liner or on some elements those numbers are pressed into the body of the element itself. In the latter case, look for a slightly flattened part of the element body and inspect it for printing.
If you can post that information I will try to trace down a replacement for you.

I have a Tappan Custom Visualite wall oven with lower broiler. Both the oven handle and the broiler handle have a plastic decorative insert in the middle of the handles. One is missing and I am seeking that piece to bring back the original look. Does anyone have one or have source to suggest?
